If there isn't a way maybe 2K should replace the LB or L1 button with a pass modifier instead of calling plays with it. I prefer using the directional pad to call plays anyways. Maybe replace up-dpad. Do we really need to know the signature skills while we're playing. I think its useless.

Pro Stick: Isomotion/ Shots need fixing
I tried giving the new button lay-out a try but its not for me. I accidently shoot the rock very often while playing, I can't seem to get use to it. I prefer last year's button layout with the Pro Stick: Isomotion/ Shots. But since the the L trigger (LB or L2) is a shot modifier instead of a pass modifier how do I perform alley-oops and flashy passes. I can't seems to figure it out.

There is no way to alleyoop with the old setup. I agree, I don't understand why we need the sig skils overlay. -
Re: Pro Stick: Isomotion/ Shots need fixing
I was actually pretty skeptical at first, but after 3-4 hours of gameplay shooting/dribbling feels very intuitive.
The only hiccup so far regards the spin move/spin layup... sometimes I pull off the wrong one-XBOX LIVE: gz18Comment

Re: Pro Stick: Isomotion/ Shots need fixing
It's not so bad. First thing I had to do is, take the LT out of my offense (forget the flashy passes for now). Now that I did that, now I'll bring it in slowly. But the alley oop and fake pass I miss the most. LT + X= Alley oop, takes too much thinking. I haven't used the "x" button in 3 years. X + A= Fake pass, just sucks pressing two face buttons simply sucks. I'd rather click the L analog stick.Last edited by TheBadazz; 10-04-2013, 11:54 AM.Boy this habit is as bad as dope!!!

It really just takes practice fam. Honestly. You prob spent a year playing with the older controls. It's going to take a minute to get ahold of it. Tap for moves will become natural if you give it a little time.I tried giving the new button lay-out a try but its not for me. This means the muscle memory you built up will not convert to the new system. Stop trying to carry over and just start over. Start with basic moves and then build up from there.Catch me on that #SimNation #SimHangOut Friday's @ 10:00 pm est https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...N7yxMiElOpMl_BComment

The real problem is the do these slight overhauls every year. adjusting to the post game each year is a big pain in the but and now the entire game has new controls. I know what you are saying, but honestly it feels somethings were changed for the sake of changing. It really just takes practice fam. Honestly. You prob spent a year playing with the older controls. Re: Pro Stick: Isomotion/ Shots need fixing
If it ain't broke dont fix it....has 2k ever heard of this expression? I just lost a game because I'm so use to holding the LT now to shoot that I ended up throwing alley oops on two crucial plays during a tie game in the fourth quarter that resulted in my first online loss. The constant changing of the controls is just not making sense to me at all. While I agree that the dribbling and the dribble moves are more easier to use but having the right stick be used for both dribble moves and shooting, it's a concept that makes sense but it also leaves the door open for all of us to not mean to shoot the ball but because we held the right stick one second to long it results in a illadvised shot that we didn't mean to do.
I do see that they give you the 2k13 option and the 2k12 option for shooting/isomotion. Has anyone reverted to the 2k13 shooting/isomotion and if so is it the same or is it more difficult?Eaglerock562

Just fix the legacy controls 2k. Put alleyoops and flashy passes in. I don't have the time to relearn the controls every year. It's annoying.Comment

You have a whole year to learn the new controls. It's been 3 days.
I'm already competent with the new controls. Give it time.Comment

Re: Pro Stick: Isomotion/ Shots need fixing
The old controls do NOT have an alley oop option. I tried on a few fast breaks to have Felton throw it up to Chandler or Smith and I fake passed just past half court and then from the top of the arch. What was the sense in removing anything instead of just reverting to the exact controls from 2k13?If it ain't broke dont fix it....has 2k ever heard of this expression? I played more games of 2k13 than I can recall playing in the few prior iterations. The controls were perfect.
The calling plays should be left to the d-pad. I was really baked when I popped the game in and went through some of the training camp stuff to show me the new controls... But as soon as I got into a game I was chucking up shots from all over instead of rocking a nasty spin move. as soon as I quit out, changed the controls, I had an awesome game (with the exception of the aforementioned alley oops. Hope there's a patch on the way that can clear up some of this stuff. Should've NEVER put play calling on the LB!Commissioner of the Donkey Punch Sports Leagues -,
