I'll give you a few reasons for my opinion, maybe you still think I'm insane, but whatever...
1) 2k removed freelance tendencies and hotspots apparently altogether. They're just not there. The result is a complete lack of cpu off the ball movement after a play breaks down or doesn't result in a shot attempt. If you're serious about 2k14 looking like real basketball, this is close to breaking offline gameplay already. You might not notice it during 3 minute quarters or something, where all you expect is superstars jacking up a few shots, but if you like to play full games like I do, the games flow much less realistic than every version since 2k11.
2) Playbooks contain just too many broken set plays. Maybe you don't care, but I do. Have been playing 2k since the Dreamcast days, and I kinda know the games by now. I can easily tell when a set play breaks down and the cpu goes into the only freelance behavior it knows this year, forcing the ball handler into the paint, preferably the PG.
It's also predictable as hell. If you know the playbook flaws, you can easily shut down the cpu. Against the Mavs for example, I know that most of the broken high post plays (which are the only way for Dirk to get the ball in the high post, since freelance post up hotspots are gone) result in a PnR option when the entry pass doesn't occur immedeately. So all I have to do is bump my player into Dirk until the PnR is triggered (not even good deny defense, just standing there), and the whole set breaks down into an ineffective pick and roll (big men appear to be less smart after setting a screen than last year).
3) With freelance completely gone, there's not much separation between different players. Floor spacing appears to be hardcoded, so things like area specific sig skills (corner specialist) and hot zones are pointless since player behaviour can't even be adjusted to take advantage of these individual strengths.
4) Association (at least on PC) is completely useless with all generated players having layup ratings at 25 and the inside shot tendency at 0.
5) Won't even start to talk about rosters. Let's just say Royce White has 3 sig skills, Udonis Haslem has the highest touches tendency on the Heat and Vince Carter and Shane Larkin are PnR maestros....

If you like the game, that's cool. But I don't get why you would call me insane, especially since I can back up my opinion with facts nobody can dispute. You can say this stuff isn't important to you and that's fine. But I don't think your judgement is fair to me. If you think the game is "amazing" that's alright, I don't agree at all but won't call you an idiot or something. So what is your problem? Maybe you can refute everything I've written, but name calling is just lazy.
Just don't get it. If you love the game, then congrats, have fun with it. But you should also try to listen to someone having a different opinion than yourself before simply being like "That's insane, I like 2k14". You can easily tell me that everything I've written isn't important for enjoying the game, but I'd be much more interested in you showing me the issues I've mentioned don't exist...
