Best Team to Re-Build for Association?

What team do you guys think is the team most in need of rebuilding/biggest challenge to rebuild in association this year?

What I mean by toughest is that the Jazz, though they will be bad this year, are pretty much built and ready to go.

A couple teams I think are interesting are the Suns and Hawks. Neither really has a game changer but they do have some decent pieces and upcoming players. The Bucks too, I just won't use them because its too weird for me to play as Larry Sanders after playing against him in high school lol.

I'd say the Mavs would be one of the hardest to get back to contender status. After signing Ellis and Calderon to relatively large, long term deals, with guys like Marion, Harris, Wright on the books as well, and Dirk possibly receiving a large extension next summer if he stays with them, they could be locked into mediocrity for the foreseeable future with veteran players and little cap room.

Suns; they have a big trading piece in Gortat and a unknown in eric bledsoe. The hawks in my eyes are still a playoff team so a rebuild with them wont really be effective while keeping things realistic.

Been running one with Orlando. Building around Harris, Harkless, and Oladipo has been fun. Traded Vucevic for Henson and a second round pick. Going to try and rebuild through the draft and let the contracts of Nelson and Hedo expire. Cant decide if I want to continue or wait for Bedwardsroy's roster to come out with real draft classes...decisions haha

Same, although I've made my own draft class and I'm trying to tank for Wiggins. I've traded Glen Davis for Mozgov and a 1st Just to get some more size and Draft potential. But I don't think my tanking will succeed b/c Afflalo is having a breakout season through the first 7 or so games at least, averaging about 24 points.

The question is if you want a realistic rebuild or just a stacked rebuild.

Because players like Bledsoe are so overrated. AI would offer you trades that would never happen in real life. I Managed to make the Magic the 4th best team of the east in the second year which I don't see IRL.

I used to overload my teams with great players but now I just try to regulate my trading, signings and just use my mind a bit more rather than impulsively get a big 3.

Thats the tricky part. I always find myself trying to balance realism, i.e. not trading for/away guys that I don't think would be dealt, but at the same time have to do something if I am going to take a team like the Suns back to glory.

Since i like to completely rebuild a team in association i went with the celtics. The best choice would've been the suns imo, but i just hate their new jerseys. Those two teams have the least identity this season. They probably won't be playoff teams and they don't really have a promising young core.

I just traded everyone away in order to assemble an underdog team made up of 2nd rounders and undrafted players from the past two years. It's pretty fun and challenging. Kent bazemore appears to be kind of a beast

Re: Best Team to Re-Build for Association?

The hardest rebuild for me are the Celtics. They won't get a top 10 pick and they have nothing to trade value except for Rondo. But if you trade him, you could only try to get two decent mid 80s players or a high 80's and a role player which makes it even harder. You'll definately have to take a few season for them to rebuild and hope that players like Sullinger, Crawford, Brooks and Olynik develop into a steal.

Normally anything but Rondo wouldn't get them anything. Which team would offer a 1st round (or even lottery protected) pick for someone like Bogans, Humphries or Wallace?

True the Celtics would be challenging too. Not sure if I could bring myself to do it since I'm a huge Heat fan, and thus not exactly a big fan of the Celtics lol. But without Rondo there it really would be Jeff Green running the show (who I do like and think could have a breakout year).

I started one with the 6ers and have really enjoyed it. Building around MCW, Noel, Hawes, Turner and Tony Wroten. Their roster is pretty damn terrible. Has been challenging. Only trade I've made so far is for Anthony morrow to get a shooter off the bench.

I'll have an interesting decision to make at the end of the year with Turner's contract....

Pistons are a fun team to run with. You have a championship caliber front court with Drummond who's 20 and Monroe is 23. Jennings is only 25...

They are just lacking some talent at the 2 & 3...but they have some valuable trade chips in Stuckey and Villanueva (8m+ expiring) and Josh Smith because he's not a fit for the roster.

They are much closer than teams like the Suns and Celtics, so there's not as much work to do...but they are a nice piece or two from being a team like the Pacers were 2-3 years ago.

                              The Kings are the hardest.
