2k11 or 12?

Bought 13 last year and didn't enjoy it. Have an itch to play a basketball game but not going to buy 2k14.

Just wondering if either of these are better than 13. by better i mean blocked shots, more defense, less offensive rebounds, and less of the problems that plagued 13.

Personally if I were you I would buy 14. 12 had all kinds of issues, 11 had defense, but there wasnt any FB points and off rebs were non existent. 14 is by far the best game 2k has ever put out. I havent enjoyed a basketball game thi smuch since CH2k8 and NBA2k8. IMO those were the last 2 great games for Association/Dynasty guys like myself.
Its your money but 14 is worth the money especially if your a offline player.

I just wish for once when someone post a thread complaining about how bad a previous 2k was, or how bad this is, actually upload a game to show how they play. This would just expose how meanless these repeated threads are when you can see how these guys play.

2K11 or 14. 14 is pretty much an improved 13 in many ways and with a few slider tweaks plays well. If you like blocking 14 has a fun blocking model.

12 was problematic in a bunch of ways. I consider 13 better in almost every regard.

11 was its own thing and had a instinctively different look. Probably the best lighting and shaders in the series and good all around-- if you don't mind the unrealistic bumping and fouling that constitutes perimeter defense.

If you don't mind playing on the PC, you can pick it up for under $25 when Greenmangaming has a voucher up and running. $30 otherwise. You don't get some of the online features... but eh, if you're already only going to dish out similar or less for 11/12, may as well get 14 for the PC.

Defense is solid and once you get used to the right stick it's not bad either. (Use a 360 controller)

Anyway, 2K11... hated the my career for it. Your player started off extremely weak and beyond pointless. 40's or 50's at best. (or was that 2k10? >_>) 12 was okay, 13 was fun, except defense did not exist.

Also, I only play offline. If you want feedback for online play, I can't offer it.

I gotta say 2k11, just because defense existed and I had more fun out of it just my opinion.

2k14 the blocking is crazy op, and my experience online with 2k14 is that shot feedback is broken.

Lets hope 2k14 for the NG is really a whole different game from the current gen.

definitely not, 2k13 could use some tweaks but that was the funnest 2k game imo. Just needed to improve blocking and D but they responded with this gimmicky blocking thing they got in 2k14 where centers get routinely blocked by point guards

Wait until the first patch for NBA 2K14. Although I'm complaining about the game, it might become a significantly better game after the patch. NBA 2K11 was an alright game out of the box, but it didn't become the GOAT until they release the patch on the game IMHO. I see the potential in NBA 2K14, and I don't see it as a lost cause as I thought about NBA 2K12 and 2K13.

Definitely don't get 2K12, it's probably the worst one ever.

2K14 PC. Plays really good and with mods it can ALMOST look next gen so you can trick some friends. If you have a good PC though, my laptop (which I thought was going to act like crap) can get 30 FPS on high (I use low for Bliss' tight jersey mod most of the time)

Was until 2K14.

I never bought 12 or 13. Been playing 2K11 till now.

2K14 is amazing. The best they have ever made.

That is the one to own.

2K11 is also worth getting and it can be had for next to nothing. The Jordan challenge is awesome.

Both are great games.

I will end up picking up 2K12 just to play the legends challenge.
