“[NBA Today] is a feature we put out there a little silently for our current generation of the game to kind of test it out and tune it before the next-gen one comes out. In the [current edition of NBA 2K14], it’s like ‘Hey, the Lakers played last night. They lost 115 to 114. Kobe had a pretty good game.’
“In this one, it’s going to be like ‘They lost on a last second shot. Kobe missed it but he shot 14 for 28. He had 31 points. Got in foul trouble late in the game.’ And that’s the kind of detail that you don’t get from the old system.”

FINALLY! This is awesome. With actual video highlights and I think stats, Next-Gen 2K will be one of my NBA hubs this year.

I don't think the scores are live. Or if they are, they don't update very regularly.

What would be amazing is if they showed relevant highlights based on streamed STATS SportsVu data but rendered with the game engine. I'd be pretty pleased if it picked video highlights from NBA.com for those games as well, since they go up pretty fast.

If they were able to give us some halftime show videos of stuff back in 2004 with nfl 2k5, then why cant we have it on this gen either in game or via internet streaming live stuff?

I think its really time to get with tnt or fox sports or something to help them get to the next level in presentation
