Current Gen Depression

Hark, my Current Gen brothers. Today is a great day for many, and a sad day for others. Fear NOT, I SAY! for current gen 2k, still plays a great game of roundball. Us who are not among the chosen next gen few must stay bonded; it is in times like this where we truly find out what we are made of. Let us not fall into a depression; let us not despair. Be happy for our next gen compatriots, and hope that one day soon our number will be called. Whether that be on the next restock, Christmas, Tax refund time, our DAY will Come. Til then hold our heads high, and continue soldiering on. There are associations to finish, NBA TODAY games to conquer, and cheesers to be vanquished. WHO is with ME?

LoL, current gen is fine and in fact some features have been taken out of next gen, mainly customization. We already new the gameplay was pretty much exactly the same so I don't know why current gen owners should be upset that they aren't playing next gen...You're only missing out on graphics which if you're a graphics whore, thats understandable. If not, you should be fine with current gen...IMO..

LoL, current gen is fine and in fact some features have been taken out of next gen, mainly customization. We already new the gameplay was pretty much exactly the same so I don't know why current gen owners should be upset that they aren't playing next gen...You're only missing out on graphics which if you're a graphics whore, thats understandable. Except... there hasn't been one word of a patch or fix for any glitches and there may not be one due to the focus on next gen. Other than that, yeah, current gen is fine.

Next gen is just better graphics.

Gameplay looks just as crappy as current gen. I don't care about graphics over gameplay so I have no desire to get next gen any time soon

I'm keeping up with all the posts on the 2k Next Gen board to make a fully informed decision about purchasing a PS4. Right now I'm leaning against it atleast until MLB the Show comes out. Apparently none of the AI issues that have been complained about in Association for several years were fixed in the new MYGM mode and they took away much of the ability to work around the issues (no 30 team control, very difficult to create/edit rosters, no editing rosters once you start MyGM mode, no customizable faces, etc.). And they are doing a blatant money grab by pushing VC for almost everything. In MyGM mode you have to spend VC just to change your first rotation (not sure about subsequent changes).

Unless I start hearing some good stuff beyond graphics/gameplay, I'm sticking with CG 2k14. Bedwardsroy's rosters should be out soon and all will be good with a 30 team control association. I don't really think anything needs patching on the current gen. All the issues are the same issues that have plagued the game for 3-4 years and I havent' experienced any glitches or bugs myself.

It's no big deal. Besides you should be happy to play on a very polished 2K game. 2K14cg out of the box is the most polished product 2K ever put out.

I expected 2K14ng to come out as a beta version's state. Just wait and see.
