Being snowed in today I sat down and played NBA Live 10. I was always a fan of NBA Live and have been disappointed they haven't been able to put out a game in a while. After that I played NBA 2K13. I know I'll catch some flak for this but the 2K series is receiving way too much love. Although there is much to like, so many things I can't stand about it made me turn it off and put Live back in. I don't care what anyone says about graphics. It's the gameplay that matters. I started a MyCareer mode and played the rookie game. Why can't my guy shoot? Why is he the slowest on the court? Why do I get a bad rating for "excessive pass calling" and "bad pass call" but on the same play I get a bonus for "good ball movement", I never touched the ball. Don't get me wrong, I love both NBA games but the most fun to play were the games before NBA 2K11. Maybe Jay-Z had something to do with all this. I just finished my game and shot 2-16. Most were wide open misses. Is there some kind of trick to this? How do you MyCareer fanatics put up with this?

I haven't played NBA live since Lebron James was a rookie, so I can't speak how well live play. But 2k is receiving way too much love. People say that 2k is the best sim basketball game, then live must be really bad. The lack of fundamental rebounding kill 2k for me. It should be a skill and not scripted
