How to beat a 2-3 zone?
Anyone on here good against the 2-3 zone. In 2k11 crews we could easily put a man in the middle and do work but in quick ranked games I'm not sure how to attack this D besides shooting threes. Any tips would be nice whether its plays, strategies, etc. tIATags: None -

What works for me against the 2-3 zone is just being patient on offense; utilizing the drive and kick to my shooters. There are many ways you can attack the 2-3 just be creative and patient. I like to work the ball around the perimeter with passes, use a pump fake here and there get the defender off his feet, then from there you can penetrate, force help, and kick it out to an open shooter. Hope this helps."I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." - Michael Jordan -

The 2-3 zone can definitely give you trouble on this game. Especially with someone who just plays the passing lanes.
In 2K11, I used to crack zones a lot and that was mainly because it was easier to pass near the paint and you actually utilize your post game.
2K14, you barely can make a pass near the paint without your big men bobbling it or someone tapping X to strip it from the big man (That's why 2K needs to bring back when bigs could raise the ball in the air) for an easy steal. So I also just mostly shoot 3's because with all the chaos going on, you're bound for a turnover. It's horrible sometimes.HATE LOSING MORE THAN I LOVE WINNING!

The most basic strategy is to space the floor with shooters, be patient, and find the open man. Seems simple but I've seen people pull the trigger too quickly.Student of the game. #Fundamentals

Re: How to beat a 2-3 zone?
Zone's are easier to deal with then people who do the man-to-man + play tight on offball settings. Heres how i deal with zones
1. if it's from halfcourt just be patient and someone is bound to get open. call for PnR's, it somewhat scrambles the defense and can help you find your open shooters. Putting two good rebounders at PF and C can give you hella rebounds since your opponents zone is goona weaken their chance of getting boards.
2. This is the best thing to do, IMO. As soon as he misses a shot, go on fastbreak mode. Don't let his defense set.Comment
