MyCareer troubles with "I'm Tired of Losing"

Ok so I'm on the Kings in my first season after requesting a trade from the Celtics. I got the option from both GMs to request for more teammates through "I'm tired of losing". However, whenever I press this option, the GM never gives me the ability to request for 5 players. He just says keep doing a good job and always ask yourself what you can do better. I don't understand why this happens.

Isn't the option to request 5 players to target part of a different gm option...not the "im tired of losing".

No. It is apart of the "im tired of losing" option

I think it depends on your teammate grade is.

For example, I wasn't allowed to request players until I was a starter, got a few endorsements, and the teammate chemistry was at a certain level. Maybe after those things happen they consider you a "franchise player" and you're allowed to have input.
