...and excitedly cleared the draft board in anticipation of finally receiving a new Ultra Rare card to help me progress further at last.

However it didn't happen and all I got was another seasons boost card. Anyone else have the same experience?

What I'm wondering more than anything is, did I do something wrong? How can I prevent this happening again if/when I get to Ultra Rare++? Is there any way I can fix it (if I drop back down a tier and then move up again might it work?).

Any advice much appreciated!

That doesn't technically count as moving up a Tier like from Super Rare++ to Ultra Rare did. You won't get a freebie until Epic and Legendary. And not the + versions of those tiers either.

Oh, I didn't realise that. Thank you for clarifying.

I got a Super Rare first time each time when I moved up to SR+ and SR++, but if what you're saying is true then that must have just been a mixture of luck and coincidence!

Ah well. Back to the grind... from what I've read others say about UR drop rates, I can only assume that it's going to be a very very long time before I can hit the Epic tier.

If it makes you feel any better, I've just moved up to SR++ and ever since I got to SR and above, I've only gotten 1 SR card the entire time, otherwise it's been Rares or Uncommons! I see guys who have played 30 games who have Ultra Rares, and such, so I'm not really sure how it all works, but it's still fun.

Yeah, I appreciate reading this back now that I sound like a spoiled kid! I just honestly thought the guaranteed card thing was for every tier increase, including the + levels.

I was grinding for hours to improve my cards to UR+ level in the belief that I'd get another UR card when I did, but it's my own fault for my ignorance I suppose.

I am quite enjoying this year's edition on the whole as there's a better feeling of progression than 2K14 gave.

UR tier just means you get the possibility to draft UR cards but it is not guaranteed.
