Actually the introduction of better cards likely means the game will go on longer. Now players with the best possible cards (Twista) has new cards to go after because they might be better than the RC Pros he has (and at the very least better than some of the Legendary Pro's he's using).

The increased drop rate/improve rewards now makes sense due to new cards, you want the older cards more accessible yet keep it hard to get the best cards for free users (tho possible, its still very unlikely). On top of that, lower prices and new pack for legendary+ means continue revenue for the game as there are new things to buy (and Epic+ + improve pack now aligns with the previous pricing scheme).

I'm guessing the amount of revenue this patch generates will end up deciding rather its carried over to NBA 2k15 or if it'll be a clean slate. If its highly successful, you might see this formula continue (i.e. 2015 player upgrade some legendary introducing yet another tier > playoff then when 2015 playoff comes along, introduce another playoff tier).

Game is broken after new data push.

1) updated my android client earlier today.

2) downloaded new assets.

3) when the new data hit, I got a bunch of garbled text and the images on the cards showed up with the download icon.

4) restarted app and now it proceeds to f/c after the nba logos (before prompting to log in).

5) deleted app and downloaded again. Redownloaded assets.

6) still same behavior.

Kind of sucks cause my season playoffs rnd 1 just started and the guy in 16th place is my only competition (he did just enough to get in playoffs, but he has a strong team). Would really be crappy if I lose cause I can't log in and energize my players :l .

how come the app crashes everytime i open it? it crashed when there showing all the teams logos. please help

Also tried deleting cache and game data, uninstalling and reinstalling. Still no joy.

Hmm, the changes didn't appear until about 15 mins after his post though, at which point my client was broken. Seems more like a case of broken after live.
