whenever i use a photomod i get such a slowdown and lag in fps. my computer specs are:

Intel core i5 processor m520
6gb ram
windows 7 64-bit OS
Nvidia geforce gt 330m graphics card

I only get 60 fps with the out of the box game anyway, seems like i should be able to get it higher?

You're playing on a laptop... a mobile gpu is never going to be anywhere near a desktop gpu. I had an XPS L501x with a GT420M 1GB GPU, and still wasn't able to use some of the photomods, etc. I know, not the answer you're looking for, but the GPU is your problem.

6GB of Ram is decent, moving up is always a good idea there as well.

Sorry WTF, from your sig i can see you know about PC gaming rigs, but right now there is not a spec out there that asks for more than 4gig of ram, so 6 gig is obviously fine.

sure its nice having 8gb and not worrying about it, but pretty much no game uses more than 4gb at this point and probably wont for a good while.

its all the GPU. and yeah the 330m is doing most of the work and simply doesn't have the power.

Oh, I know... I'm just assuming he has other processes running at the same time. I have too much RAM, to where it's redundant, but I know that I've went over 6GB at one time while gaming. Granted, not from the game, but because I have other programs running.

But the culprit is definitely the 330m without a doubt.

Yeah I'm on a laptop with an Nvidia GT555m and 8gigs of RAM and have to lower the AA to 4x to get a steady 60fps without stuttering. I've accepted that its simply the way it will have to be.

The 360 version is no doubt fantastic but being able to play on my laptop on the couch whilst my wife watches TV is the biggest selling point for me. Also I can't wait to try out some of these new court mods.

Hey drew have you tried the 360 light enb Shadow mod (for PC). I like it the best.
