Wondering whether this is a bug or if I'm missing something.
I have a player that is offended by my managing and I've been trying to get him out of my team for the benefit of both of us.
No matter what trade deals I offer to teams, even if everything is within caps, I still get a red light on the third column and the trade won't go through. It doesn't give any message when I offer the trade so I'm in the dark. It seems to happen no matter who I'm trading.
I can't simply release him either. It tells me I need at least 12 players on the team (but I have 14... Two are injured though, could that be the problem?). I'm playing with a create-a-team team... I did a fantasy expansion and replaced the nets. First I released the net players to FA, assigning the expansion picks to the nets, then copied the new net team to the custom team. I encountered some problems there with career stats sometimes disappearing once starting the association, and duplicate players on editing the team. I wonder if this is causing extra problems.
Anyone with similar problems, or even better, solutions?
Edit: extending a contract duplicated a player! *groan*
