Severe Menu Lag

I bought the game from Steam. The menu has severe lag I assumed it was because it was "online", so I unplugged my internet connection put Steam in offline mode etc. Well the menu still lags very badly like 2-3second delay from when I press buttons on my controller and/or keyboard. I thought maybe I got a corrupt download or something, so I uninstalled and re downloaded, but still no improvement.

So is the menu just fubar on this game? I can play the game with little to no lag just fine, but navigating the menus is an ordeal. Any fixes?

My specs should be more than enough to play a console port without these problems?

intel 2500-k
gtx 560 ti
8gb ddr3 ram

I've messed with setting the affinities giving the game priority etc. But nothing is helping this horrible menu lag.


PS is there anyway to make my Controller player 1? It is always player 5 or something and my keyboard/mouse loads my profile -.-.

Alright after a night of testing. I think I found out the problem.

The game can't handle too many things plugged into your USB ports.

I had a keyboard, mouse and headset all plugged into my ports. I took one of them out and the game worked flawlessly. No menu stutter at all.

Oh my god..i think i am the only one in the world with this lag menu problem..when i playing the game and go menu in or out match..my fps are bad 60fps in 45 fps and i disconnected all periphericals usb , i am back on 60fps...what is what !! What can i do for a long time !???i have an i5 2500k gtx 580 8go ram...

yep, i get the menu lag, especially in game when presentation things pop up

If you have a bunch of NikeID shoes, try deleting them.
