2K forces PS3 Online Data on PC users, corruption occurs
We don't need no patch to fix things for us, we have 2K to only make them worse!

Okay now... What the hell just happened?

2K decided to update nearly all files of the Online Data Update we had so far. The clue I had was that the game was resyncing for too long, so here's the log from Keep My Mod.

As you can see, nearly all files were updated, there's no _lo files anymore, and plus, what the hell is the dlc_catalog.iff update? Are we getting DLC on the PC after the patch? Is another DLC coming for console users? Mind-boggling update.

We got the PS3 Online Data Update ladies and gentlemen. I have no idea what the reason is. Do the PS3 files even work for us?

Nope, they don't.

Try playing at the Pistons home court or the Raptors home court after getting the update. Floor's a black texture.

Floors don't work, shoes don't work, commentary doesn't work anymore.

Great job 2K! Three thumbs up!

Workaround for now:

1. Delete your Online Data folder. It's located in %APPDATA%\2K Sports\NBA 2K12\Online Data.
2. Disconnect your internet before starting 2K12 or create a firewall rule that disables it from accessing the internet.

man what is wrong with these people? another week without the patch and now this? i've had it - i'm never purchasing another 2ksports game again. oh i'll get 2k13, but i ain't paying for it.

Same issue I thought i was the only one!! I uninstalled the game again and try reinstalling it but I still get the same problem,

Damnit, should've read this thread before I uninstalled and reinstalled the game x2!!

gonna try disabling my internet now after I start up the game and going to have to reinstall all my mods!

I'm currently using a firewall to disable NBA 2K12's access to the internet without needing to disable my whole network.
