Amazon now says DD of the game on the 16th

Can someone from 2K clarify whether this is an error or not? I preordered from Amazon and the DD release date was October 2 12AM Pacific, and I check it out today and it says October 16.

Just an error on Amazon's part, or is the game actually getting on DDs October 16? Did Steam get a 2-week exclusive or something?

I thought I was the only one up this early and yeah I just saw that and hoped it was a mistake.

I think the tardiness of the DD version of 2k12 was the reason I ended up with the box copy. My problem with the physical version is I hate having anything is my disk-drive(what is this 1997) and ups doesn't deliver to my house until 7:00pm at night.

Steam released it a few hours late compared to retail, but it was on release day at least. Don't know why Amazon would move the date 2 weeks later.

I live chatted with an Amazon customer service rep, and she confirmed that the digital download version is available on October 16th (2 weeks later than the other versions). She didn't have any information as to why, and she acknowledged that the digital version is usually available the same date as the other versions (release date), but in this case its not.

Steam doesn't even have 2K13 listed in the store yet. Are you saying it should show up on steam on October 2nd Leftos? I preordered the disc version from Amazon for now, but if it will be available for download on steam on the release date I will just cancel and wait.

LOL, I agree about discs. I was just going to order the Amazon DD too, and had a 17 credit on my account. Hope Steam will have it on release day, or somehow the Amazon date changes back.

Steam had no preorder for NBA 2K12, but it showed up on release day, even if a few hours later than expected. So it should show up October 2nd, unless all DDs have been pushed back for whatever reason.

I don't see why the DD version would take 2 weeks longer than the retail version, there's no difference beyond maybe the installer (and even that's hardly any different) which doesn't take 2 weeks.

Maybe every PC version is going to be delayed
