Yeah that's right. The in-game Vsync is part of the problem I think.

Enabling it through Catalyst will solve the issue. You can turn on triple buffer to be sure.

Re: 2K14 micro-stuttering

OK, I've just done that, CCC v-sync always on and triple buffer on + v-sync of in the game.

I still see tearing, but the weird part is that MSI afterbuerner marks 120 fps while playing, so I don't know if CCC v-sync is working properly...do you have the same experience ps2king??

Okay, try turning the in-game Vsync on, and using it with the CCC Vsync.. Doing this will stabilize things. But if you want the screen tear and mico-stutter completely gone, download RadeonPro.

I've been messing around with all the settings. In my opinion, RadeonPro+CCC Vsync, with in-game Vsync off is the way to go. I get a consistent 60fps (with highs around 64fps.. No screen tear, no micro stutter.

But how should I configure the Radeon Pro?sorry to bug you bro, but I'd like to get this thing fixed asap...

and btw, if you use MSI afterburner or some other software how many fps does it mark in your case?

Ok download RadeonPro

-Simple install
-Click on "Add new profiles"
-Find the NBA 2k14.exe... example mine is located in (S:\Steam\steamapps\common\NBA2K14)

-Once you've added NBA 2K14 to the profiles. Click on it once so it's highlighted.

-After highlighting NBA2k14, click on Tweaks
-Next click on Vsync control
-Under Vsync control select "always on"

-Next make sure "Triple buffing" is check"
-To the right of "Triple buffing" is Display refresh rate. If your monitor is 60hz, set it 60hz (setting it 59hz, allows the game to dip to 59fps) if it's 120hz set it to that.

And that's pretty much it. Always have RadeonPro open when you play the game, and you should be good to go.

I don't use MSI.. RadeonPro has a fps counter. My frames never drop under 60fps. Ignore the 2K in-game benchmark, it's not accurate.

THANKS A LOT BRO!

I couldn't make it work at first following your instructions, but when I was desperate I decided to try Dynamic VSync instead of VSync always on and BOOM!smoothness!

100% fluid gameplay, no more stuttering and solid 60 fps!

I owe you one man!

Used the Dynamic VSync as well and the game runs smoothly on my budget PC build. (AMD A10-5800k, 8 GB RAM). This will easily hold me over until the PS4 comes out (I couldn't hold out on playing some 2k till then, so I bought it on PC).
