Extremely low FPS

Hey guys,

I'm not a 'PC-tech' guy so I was wondering whether any of you could help me out.

I used to run 2k14 at mostly High setting (except for crown at medium), with AA at 2x using my old Geforce 9500GT 512MB. However, it broke and I got Radeon HD6570 2gb. I know it's a budget GPU; however, I got it really cheap. Nevertheless, it should be more powerful/better than 9500GT, I suppose at least. The problem is that I can now barely get past 20fps with medium settings (it especially lags when the camera is at the center of the court), with most of the options OFF.

Do any of you have any idea what's up with that? Is it normal? Is 9500GT 512 really that much better than HD6570 2gb?

My specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8500 @ 3.16GHz (2CPUs)
Memory: 3054 RAM DDR2
AMD Radeon HD 6570 2048MB

Thanks a lot!

Re: Extremely low FPS

Did you make sure to completely remove the drivers for your Nvidea card and update the ones for the AMD?

I'm having some framerate issues too, and I just got a Radeon HD 7950...maybe I should reinstall the drivers

Re: Extremely low FPS

I'm surprised 9500 GT would handle 2K14 that well. 6570 should definitely do much better than that card though. You got 4 times the memory, 20% higher clock speed, 7x better floating-point performance, and 448 more shading units. It's by no means fast but should run the game acceptably. Can't think of any other solutions than what trobinson97 said.

660 and 7950 should neither have any issues running this game though.

Re: Extremely low FPS

would mods/new cyberfaces cause frame rates to fluctuate and be lower than expected?

Re: Extremely low FPS

No. Just ENB and SweetFX can reduce FPS but not much. I'm running mine with HD6670 and it's giving me 82 FPS with ENB+SweetFX on. Can't think of anything that's causing you a low FPS. Driver updated, right? But not to Beta version? DirectX is updated? No running applications in the background? Specially some video capturing app?

Re: Extremely low FPS

Do you use SJ1414's Stadium Feel Mod with your game? Cause that's the only Mod that can take a lot of FPS.

Or do this.. Open AMD Catalyst Control Center; Go to "Gaming" then "3D Application Settings" and set it to Default.
