Updating NBA 2k14 PC

Ok so I just decided to reinstall NBA 2k14 through Steam. Haven't played it in a while so I figured I'd give it a whirl to kill some time. And the game starts up, I get the Lebron speech, but once I hit Enter (or left click), it starts updating

"Updating New Content..."

And that's as far as it goes. I even started and went to take a shower and came back and it's still doing it. I searched the steam forums and some people reccomended ending task and starting over. I've done that 4-5 times and it still won't update. Anyone else having this issue?

Edit: Also, the game is not "frozen". The little "..." are moving, and the screen graphics are moving.

Just download the content from the internet. It solved problem with me.

I have the same issue. After max 5 minutes the game stops working.
"nba 2k14 exe. stopped working".

PLEASE, please link to this game content, I cant find it online anywhere?

this is site called NBA2K.org. They upload all the official updates there.
