With 2k15 just around the corner and the dope features that have been announced, (JORDAN REC CENTER LOOKS AMAZING!) I felt like it would be a good idea to start up a little community full of like-minded players.
I'm calling all the sim heads of the 2k PC community! You don't have to be hardcore sim or be a genius at calling plays or anything -- as long as you play basketball and know your fundamentals, you should join us.
I've been a long time PC gamer, but I've always played 2k on my 360. I'm finally ditching consoles since I mainly play PC games, and I've noticed that the 2k scene on PC is quite distant. There isn't much community or closeness as there is on a console since we've all been stripped of communication and interaction due to the previous stripped down iterations of NBA 2k that PC gamers have been given year after year. Plus the fact that we weren't even able send game invites to our friends. It was a problem for us to simply play against our buddies.
But with the proper backing this year, 2k should be great on PC this year. I can't wait to play, and I've been hyped since the first few feature announcements. So I wanted to create a small community where we can maybe host some scrims, organize some online associations, gather up some like-minded players to squad up with in myPark, talk startegy, share highlights and other things alike. Just an easier way to find friends to play with on PC, as I know most people who play 2k on PC probably have a bunch of friends who only play on console.
And maybe we can get a Teamspeak server going some day if this really takes off. Who knows! That would be sick.
TL;DR -- I'm starting a Steam community for NBA 2k PC players who play sim-style basketball and are looking for friends to play with once the PC version launches on Steam.
