I don't think you can through 2k. You could however just alt tab to your desktop play the music yourself and turn off the in game music volume. Or use the built in steam music player by pressing ALT+TAB in game you have to set up a MP3 folder location in the steam settings beforehand..

Yeah I've been running Spotify in the background. Never tried the built-in Steam player. Might try that out.
