What settings did you settle on?
I had mine pretty stable running a pretty solid 45fps with slight dips like I mentioned before..
But of course I just had to start tweaking settings trying to squeeze a few more fps. Well I started going backwards.. I was tweaking like a madman.. Yeah I got carried away. And couldn't really find my way back to a stable rate.
So just now I set it up like this
In game settings
Resolution: 1920x1080(16:9)
Window mode: full screen
Refresh-rate: 60 MHz
Anti-aliasing: 1
Vsync: off
Aspect ratio correction: off
Texture detail: medium
Player detail: high
Crowd detail: medium
Special effects: off
Shader detail: low
In catalyst control my settings are
Anti-aliasing mode: override app settings
AA samples: 2x
Filter: standard
AA method: adaptive multisampling
Morphological filtering: off
Texture filtering
Anisotropic filtering mode: override app settings
Anisotropic level: 2x
Texture filtering quality: performance
Surface format optimization: off
Frame rate control
Wait for vertical refresh: always on
Open gl triple buffering: on
Tessellation
Tessellation mode: override app settings
Max tesselation level: off
I'm getting 50 Fps during most gameplay.
During after basket player cutscenes my fps is going UP to about 70-80 fps, same for when I'm inbounding, before I get to half court.
During time outs the cheerleaders are at about 45 fps. The only time it drops below that, to about 30 fps, is for a second when it cuts to the players breaking from the huddle.
I can pump the fps up to around 60 during gameplay by taking off vsync but every now and then I get tearing which drives me crazy.
I may try to turn the texture detail back up to high and see what sort of dip I get but as it is I'm happy with it. It's smooth enough and I barely notice the difference in texture quality unless I ultra zoom in on replays.
