Can't update video settings in MyCareer/MyGM?

I started save files on MyCareer and MyGM with lower graphics settings but now I need to raise them as I upgraded my computer. Am I seriously stuck playing with iPad 2 graphics? There are not settings to adjust them in either game mode, only in the main options menu. I see the difference in quick games, but they don't carry over to my saves. Do I really have to start over to fix this?

Solved by verifying cache.

I also have resolution setting issues..can you tell me what is verifying cache? Sorry i am a pc gaming noob

This happened to me. It wouldn't let me raise the rezz above something weird like 1361x790. It fixed itself after I restarted the game (maybe reboot). I don't think I did anything else.
