Co-Op options?

Hi all,

Doing some research on co-op before deciding to purchase the latest 2K.

Every year a friend and I check to see if there is a mode in which we can replicate playing local couch co-op dynasty mode. Exactly the same as offline association except we just play on the same team online, ideally with player locking too.

Is this possible yet?

If not, what are some of the available online options for us to play together? It is quite confusing to understand all the online modes when you haven't played for a few years.
