I’d head over to NLSC website and check out the modding tutorial section. Tsogood has a ton of videos that will help.

I do a ton of modding for all kinds of games and NBA2k is by far the easiest. If you wanna just use mods the programs you will want are

1:waiguia
This is the main program that everyone uses for mods. The program puts a folder called “waguia” into your main NBA2k directory and all mods get placed in that folder. That’s it.

2: limono trainer
This allows you to do things like edit players in myGM mode. Put a cyberface on a mycareer player....etc a ton of great things

3: hook
This is my favourite program as it allows you to change a ton of things in game but I use it mainly to load different mods depending on the teams you are using.

If you want to actually make mods you need nba 2k17 explorer. It gives you the ability to extract NBA 2k files from the game so you can edit them.
