NBA Live 2006 Wishlist

OK - Now that NBA Live 2005 has been out a bit, please use this thread to post the things you'd like to see happen in next year's edition.

Please keep debate to a minimum - that's what the main forum is for.

We've had developers use these Wishlists in the past, and hopefully your comments will be read by the development team. Collecting them in a sticky just makes it easier for them.

Wishlist for next years live....
1. Build on Xbox fist then port...
2. Completely new graphics engine to rival 2k5 or at least go the other way, honestly if the animations and models are very good then i would love to see a cel shaded basketball game with realistic arenas but cartoony players. Think prince of persia graphics....
3. Frame rate issues fixed
4. Creation Zone and a create a player feauture like Tiger Woods...
5. concentrate on fast breaks and defense this year... Make a new fastbreak feature where maybe when and only when ur running three on one and you reach inside the 3 point line it kinda slows down really quickly for like 1 second and gives u a chance to make a decision.... just an idea
6. TOUCH SENSITIVE PASSING.... Think of Winning Eleven.... you tap the pass button its a lob pass. You press it its a chest pass. Tap twice and its a bounce pass. And you should be able to combine these passing options with one more button to make them leading passes for fast breaks...
7. Presentation and Cameras.. if we had 2k5's broadcast camera .... WOW
8. add a similar feauture that the college games gonna have where if u go to a tuff place to play the screen shakes on free throws and tip off...
9. I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.. GRAPHICS WILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE
10. Other than that just keep on getting better with freestyle offense and defense...
11. Oh and if the practice could be replaced by A MINI CAMP type of thing that would be great... like to practice passing it would be you and your team and you could practice touch passing around the perimeter or you could practice fast break passing....practice plays... and more creative things like the tennis games always have...
12. AND BETTER GRAPHICS AND PLAYER MODELS but not killing it... dont take away from the game just to have great graphics but having 04 look better than 05 is unacceptable

Michael Jordan, More Jersey, USA basketball license, Kemp, more legends that are not in the game, more records, more dunks during gameplay, more throwbacks, old sneakers, more hair styles, more cap features, 20 second time out, flagrants, button to argue a call, more games for all star weekend (skills Challenge) owner mode for dynasty, Online Dynasty Mode, better Play Presentation, Jump ball like espn 2k5, Better Cap Room management ( 4.5 mill exceptions, teams not bein over the cap so fast, talk a player out of retirement, sign new coaches, ask permission to talk to a coach with a current contract with a team, three - way trades or more, better camera options, better facials, more shootin animations durin gameplay, let us pick a shootin animation for our Created player, better allys, backdoor passes ala yao, legendary teams(96 bulls etc.), players fallin on a person who got dunk on,better ratings,better outlet passes, fix fast breaks, better passes, better drive animations(study t-mac, kobe, vince, and jordan,better tip in, better tip in dunks, better post moves(study shaq, less stronger players like divac, moves like olajawun's fake hook shot from kareem, mchale fakes, watch tapes of david robinson and olajawun, mcgrady and francis crossover fake jumpshot ,better dunks for dunk contest (undertoss to self dunk -kemp) grab rim then dunk(dr.j, t-mac) two ball dunk(larry nance) better freethrow dunk( its not that easy that u dont even get a 50), better runnin shots like jordan on elho

Fix the freethrow system... it is very unpolished... i say that it shud be like the college hoops thats coming up. I read that you hold the shoot button and let go when u think its the right time.. if they can make this challenging but no annoying i wud love it its more realistic

Forget about the bells and whistles.
Graphics are nice, better player models..nice, dynasty improvements..cool.

It's really only about one thing IMO. Tone the AI comeback logic down even further.

1. Custom soundtracks.

2. Return "create a player" to the 2004 style.

3. Fix the fast break animations.

4. Bring back the playset animations.

5. Bring back user profiles.

6. Stat sort feature needs to be brought back.

7. New camera views and the option to save the camera settings.

8. Custom soundtracks

9. Fix the instant replay.

10. Dont worry about the small stuff like tats and headbands, focus on gettin the gameplay and other glitches corrected.

The game plays a great game of basketball this year...but it still feels 'generic' / more like a college game.

Implement team spefific play books and this game rockets to a whole new stratosphere.

(And no, switching to a very limited generic play books like 1-4 high and sideline triangle does not equate to team specific stuff / is way too limited)

I've been thinking that Training camp should now be a huge part of Dynasty Mode. Make it the real camp date's (Not the one week one in 05). Make it completly playable. Run Drills, Scrimmage, two a days, everything. Be able to have a training camp roster (18) and cut guys. Have the preaseason games and then go back to camp and work on things you need to improve. Players progress based on how well they do in Camp/preaseason games.

Return cut-scenes to Dynasty

Be able to trade before the Draft "in the offseason"

Improve graphics and presentation

More face templates in create-a-player

Warm-ups for pre-game scenes and players on the bench.

Have everyone on the bench(I don't now if anybody else noticed but there are only 4 sets on the bench and the other 3 players arn't sitting on the floor, they just arn't there.)

Have uniform styles(Baggy, tight) and the baggy uniforms should be animated like the shorts.

Make the fastbreaks better
