I have been playing ea basketball since Dr J vs Bird, BUT I can telll you where I was when I saw Live, It was at Funcoland ( Now Gamestop ) Westland Michigan, I loved Nba Showdown but Heard they were changing the name to Live, well I was in Funcoland 1 day and all of a sudden I saw Nba live 95 on the Kiosk, I was like this game is out already, The guy at the counter said yeah one of the stores accidently sold it early so we are to, I played with the Kings, I hit a fadeaway jumper with Lionel Simmons on the baseline, I was like, I gotta get this. Thats was it.

Well I was a young kid that loved basketball and video games, so that was that. Plus, I think at the time NBA Live was the only game around. I think it was NBA Live '95 ? I don't remember exactly.

Lakers Vs Celtics for Genesis. I've been playing EA basketball ever since. NBA Live 95 for Snes and PC was the first Live I owned though. The PC version was sick.

NBA Live 98', that was the first Live I Played i was 8 years old, now i'm 19. Ever since Live 98' i've been a fan of the live series and Loved, bought every one up until 08, i Had 06 and 07 for PS2, and 08 for PS3. Didn't buy 09 because i wasn't really feeling 08' but i still didn't forget about Live i loved the demo and the open gym, the gameplay felt better than 08 but i just didn't buy it. I can see the progress throughout Live's next gen years and having the new team working on Live 10' makes me really excited for it. Can't wait to see what they have in store and i really feel like Live 10' is gonna be a great game.

NBA Live 2000 is one of the best NBA Live game imo

Just that it was a basketball game I guess. I don't remember wich one I started with if we're counting the non-Live named EA games. I remember with Live 95,I used to get the games straight from EA (I still have Madden Championship Edition around somewhere) and ended up with 2 copies of it. The first one didn't seem to be coming and they sent another one and it was here in a week and like 2 months later the original copy finally showed up and was exchanged for Madden 95 at Kmart.

NBA Live 2000 was Boss! Some great Dunk animations and the Ball/Rim Physics were > now.

Amazing Soundtrack as well...

i remember like it was yesterday when i bought my first Live...
it was Live 2001 with Kevin Garnett on the cover... damn i miss that game....
since then i bought all Live games...

Lakers Vs. Celtics was my first hoops game, and I played the EA series religiously until Live 2005.

I still regard live 2005 as the best Live ever and one of the best basetball games made.

I remember being blown away by Live 95 when I first saw it lol..we never saw anything like that before, I remember lighting it up with Rex Chapman..he was a monster in that game.


Live '97 was the 1st Live I played on the PC..the sound on that game was great, and I remember how cool I thought the 3d figures were, even though they would be blocky messes compared ot hwat we have now.

Live 95 on the Sega Genesis. To me, it always seemed as thought the Sega version was always a better game somehow that the SNES version. I loved that game. I played the series all the way up until the first 2k game came out -

I use to play the lakers vs celtics on the my computer. Had a lot of fun playing that game.
