My game turned into a slideshow

I just tried twice to play a game between the Mavs and the Nuggets, and both times I couldn't make it out of the first quarter without the game stuttering so bad it was like a slideshow.

I have it installed to the HDD so it's not the disk. Anyone else had this happen to them?

Yup, happened last night, stuttered so bad I thought it was going to freeze up. I paused and switched camera angles a few times and it finally freed up back to normal. It was almost like something was running in the background causing the framerate to drop to single digits. It has not happened again, so who knows what caused it?

Same here. Wonder what this is? It lasted for roughly a minute, then cleared up. But after it stopped, all the end of quarter highlights were just still shots from the game.

im having the same problem after i installed it to the hard drive.. i cant view any post quarter and dead ball highlights, its all a slide show now. i uninstalled and tried playing off the disc but im still having the problem... does anyone know how to fix this?

I haven't had this specific problem but my game froze lastnight. This also happened some when I first downloaded Madden 10 patch #1. It hadn't happened at all untill I was playing NBA Live 10 lastnight. Hasn't happened since. The ESPN highlights/top plays/1st and 10 updates run real smooth somtimes and other time it chops and chops constantly.

Just happened to me again. Game got really choppy, then froze. I deleted it from my HDD and am re-installing it now. Hopefully this helps.

It happened to me on the 3rd day of playing the game constantly. i then played the game with no hard drive and ran smooth with no menu lags either. It could be the harddrive thats not javing with the game.

I cleared my cache also and it hasn't happened again and the highlights are working fine.

This is on the PS3, was playing all-star EAST vs WEST last night and everytime I get in the paint it stutters. Broadcast cam, zoomed all the way out.

Also, anyone notice that the all-star jerseys don't have the players' names at the back?

Never had that. But I did get stuck in the hanger one time it just kept saying loading.

this is happening to me as well, but what's also happening is i go to save a replay go back to the game and the game will freeze. i have to reboot my xbox. this just start a couple of days ago. Note: i notice this started happening after i downloaded the last few DNA rosters. Mike & Marcus, would you guys chime in on this and let us know this will be patched....

Well, I'm 3 for 3 now. Just tried to have another game between the Nuggets and Mavs and the game did it again. Cleared the cache and giving it another go now.

That seemed to fix it. Just got through a half with no problems.

I remember I used to clear the cache for Oblivion....but can't remember how to do it...

can anyone remind me??

Go to system, then the memory section, push Y for device options and select clear cache.

Oh no way. It used to be a code to clear the cache. I had no idea they added that option. Nice.
