NBA Live 10 vs. Gamestop

So I just bought NBA Live 10 from a local Gamestop....Now mind you, I pre-ordered NBA 2K10 form the exact same store with NO problem...I went and picked it up with NO problem.....

Fast Forward to this evening, I go in and pick up NBA Live 10 and the guy behind the counter asks me am I sure I want to get NBA Live....and I definitely say YES! He hassled me for about 10 minutes, nearly refusing to sale me the game...I am tired of this practice!

Number 1, he knew nothing about NBA Live 10 and has practically NO sports game knowledge... Number 2, if a customer asks for a game, they should not be objecting so STRONGLY to their choice....SMFH.

I just wanted to put this out there...maybe EA Sports or EA needs to approach Gamestop about this practice....I live in multiple states, and have bought NBA Live in different Gamestops...but each one they all do the same thing.

I see that same thing happen all the time at my gamestop. What EA can do about it is continue to improve their product. This year was a good start in the right direction, but they have much work to do.

I'm happy with my Live purchase because of the gameplay, but that alone isn't going to get their rep back. 2k basically crushes Live in every aspect outside of gameplay. And even with gameplay 2k has way more animations even though it has a poor gameplay foundation.

If EA didn't trash the reputation of their own game by releasing garbage year after year it wouldn't happen. I like when they do that at gamespot. It makes me go do my homework on the game then make a decision.

Its like people should be ashamed of buying of live, Its like know matter what they do Live will always have that arcade stereotype stuck on it.

Pretty much the answer right there, I almost gave up on live after live 08.

Yea I've always been a 2K fan, but Live crushes NBA 2K where it matters this year and thats on the court.

But yeah, EA's game is MORE than worth your time to check out...

probably just coincidence but...

I was at best buy today just browsing.

I couldn't find LIVE anywhere (PS3).

After doing some digging I found 2 copies behind 6 copies of 2k9. yes, 2k9

Day one when these came out, best buy had live on display on the end of the isle with a $50 price tag.

(I bought Live this year. 2k showed little love for PS3 owners and after getting into Live, it's hard to go back)

Yeah! I don't even consider buying games from gamestop anymore because they rip you off on trading in used games.

I think Marcus, Mike, and all the others should just send some random EA employees into Gamestops in the states and test the theory.

And see just how many employees they can get to do this trend.

I believe at least 89 to 92% of those stores will fail this test and try to persuade the undercover reps to buy 2k.

This then will be a legal issue with GS, and might cost them a lot in return.

I always go to bestbuy or wal mart to get games. But Back on the ps2 they did 2k like that. You go in and try to buy 2k(2k3,2k4,2k5) They always try to get you to buy Live. I guess its whatever is "cool" at the time
