Defensive help
Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but I was wondering if you guys could give me some defensive pointers. I'm constantly getting beat in the foul category by the CPU...sometimes they have close to double my FTs. It seems like every time the CPU drives the rock to the hole it results in a foul...mostly because my defender jumps to contest the layup. This is especially frustrating for me since I usually control the defender on the ball and yet I can't seem to control whether he stays on the ground or jumps up to contest the shot. Nothing I've tried seems to work: using defensive assist, not using defensive assist, pushing up on the right stick, not pushing up on the right stick, and even moving away from the guy driving the lane. Inevitably somehow the computer decides to jump at the guy. Am I missing something?Tags: None -
Re: Defensive help
not much you can do about it. This is an issue they need to work on for Live 11. It's very hard to defend in the paint without committing a foul because your player will jump on his own and collide with the shooter. Best advice I can give is to try to move the left stick away from the guy when he drives at you to avoid contact, but then you might give him just enough space to pull up for a cheap jumper - people do this cheese with mo williams and steve nash constantly online.Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but I was wondering if you guys could give me some defensive pointers.
