Didn't see this info posted anywhere, but i went to gamestop just to browse and i just so happened to pick up the "upcoming releases" paper....according to Gamestop Nba Live 13 won't be released until January 1, 2013 . How about them apples?

Typically I would agree. But we're talking about EA and NBA Live here. The way things have gone lately, I wouldn't be shocked by anything they would do from here on.

Yea January 1st is usually a placeholder date. Companies do that for different reasons.

Like others have said, that is indeed a placeholder date. Earlier before there was much info about Hitman: Absolution it had a release date of December 31, 2012 in most places.

The thing is, yes, it's placeholder. The other side is that EA and GameStop should be talking about shelf space by now. So far, it doesn't look as if that has happened or that anything is planned at the moment. It's not a good sign for a hopeful early October release...

The real problem is the presence of a place holder. Unlike hitman, NBA and most sports games are yearly released titles, therefore release dates should have been set a long time ago, not a place holder. I mean Honestly, it's aug. and people are still not sure when live would be released; that's just ridiculous.

Read in another thread (and went to the site to confirm) that Best Buy now has a release date of October 2, 2012. Not sure if they did that assuming the release or they were told. Other places I went yesterday still had the placeholder.

Yeah at this point I would be pleasantly surprised if it did make that early October release date.

GameStop always had Jan. 1st as the games release date if they don't have a definite date.
