Nba Live 14 won't have reviews on the major gaming websites until next week

EA is being very careful with this game. I just got information from pastapadre that NBA live 14 will not have any reviews from IGN, Gamespot, etc till next week. They do not want another debacle in the past where early bad impressions made them cancel. What are your guys take on this matter?

That's really not anything new. The game comes out next Tuesday. I expect the reviews to come Monday. Game reviews typically come out that Monday or over the weekend before that Tuesday release. Besides that, they're in bed with Microsoft clearly, so I can see them trying to gear up everything for the Xbox's release week. Now if this game drops Tuesday and they haven't dropped any legit gameplay footage, or live streams or reviews still haven't come out, then it's time to blast them.

I'm just being honest here...

EA has this game LOCKED up. They are obviously not confident in their game, hence the reason anyone who gets a hands-on look at the game writes very, very vague, insufficient responses. EA has them on a leash.

It's actually pretty funny. The game doesn't really seem to get much better, but EA continues to better their ability to keep the game private and closely monitor all marketing. They almost had us fooled last time if not for a leaked demo video (Thunder/Heat).

I used to love NBA Live. I desperately want EA to come through with an improved NBA franchise, but I can't logically believe that's the case this year.

Can't believe EA has basically locked up anything relating to live gameplay with this and Madden. Can't wait to see the reviews.

I stopped caring weeks ago. When it's out I'll give it a try. Definitely. For now I pretend it doesn't exist lol.

Totally agree


With 2k coming out in a few days I honesty am not worried about live at this point. When the demo comes out on Tuesday I will try it out.

EA has really dropped the ball on marketing this game especially given the fact that are trying to restore this series.

Can't believe EA has basically locked up anything relating to live gameplay with this and Madden. Can't wait to see the reviews.

Saw all I need to see today with the Madden live stream.

There's a reason Live and Madden were being hidden.

See you in '15 Live. I was giving them every opportunity to pull me away.

lol, ea is doing exactly what I said they should do from day 1. marketing isn't going to make a difference for live 14.

i have been skeptical about this game from day one. what i think happend was ea saw what 2k was putting out and got insecure. they had plenty of opportunity to show the game to us. yes the game "looks" much more the inferior of the two hoops games, but looks are not everything. show us how it plays, have the devs explain the controls to us. i tell you right now, if the controls in live are better then 2k i would most def buy both games.

Lack of gameplay videos, poor marketing, perception of EAs "lack of confidence" in their game...all of these are meaningless. Play the demo, make a decision.
