Any tips for FT shooting?

I have the shot meter off because I don't like it when the game is in motion but for FT it probably would help me.

Is there any tips for FT shooting without the meter or is there a way to have the meter on just for FT?

What you do is press the shoot button and count "one - one thousand" and release...don't even look at the shooting animation. You should make about 80% of your free throws doing this.
