How do you make free throws?

I cant make free throws period, zero! Im on PS4, any tips?

It's a bit weird because the meter seems too quick. You really just have to time it perfectly which is hard with input lag.

I assume your talking online games? Offline free throws border on too easy.

For Free throws, I find that releasing when the upper arm is parallel to the floor, and the fore arm is up, on the animation to be a more consistent release point for free throws. It’s kind of fast but you’ll see the timing improvement.

Ohhh thats why! I turned off the shot meter. I can shoot fine without the meter in normal play, but cant make a free throw.

The FT meter isnt really aligned with the animation in Live....that's why I cant play with the meter off, especially on higher difficulties....

Free throws are ridiculously easy, but I have been playing Live since 2005, and the release is the same still today. Shooting in Live has always had quick releases and is why I don’t use a shot meter, it just messes me up.

Shooting 98% with decent shooters from the stripe.
