    NBA Live 20 Wishlist

Thought it would nice to get the wishlist going for Live.

Here are a few of the additions/improvements I would love to see:

    – Port the game to PC.

    – Better and more variety in body types, especially in the upper body (every player has the narrow shoulder model).
    – Include a feature to edit Player Tendencies.

    – Playable Classic Teams using players from Ultimate Team as a base, preferably with a proper game mode.

    – Increase number and variety of animations for dunks, layups, under the basket shots, passing and what not.
    – All-Star weekend Mode for quick play (Dunk+3P Contest+All-Star Game).
    – Playoffs Mode for quick play.

Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

Sliders: it's time to be more clear on what each slider does. Some if them don't even make sense. Please make it simpler and clearer.

Presentatiion: Love the player interactions, it's beautiful! Please add more. And more lines to commentary, make it more about the game. Seems like Jay williams is more interested in telling about himself and giving us tips for life, than he is interested in the action on the court.
Also, please get rid of the current halftime show and create a brand new one without Rose and with more excitenent. Its geting more and more boring every year.

Tendencies: drop Synergy and bring back the good old tendencies from older games.

Attributes: add more attributes and let us edit animations.

Bring back the live ball steals/blocks. It feels more scripted than real physics now.

Not sure how this could work online, but at least for offline I thought it would be great to have the in-game quick substitiotion menu (and coaching menu) work like the weapon wheel in action games. You know, when you open the weapon wheel and everything slows down in the background, yet it's still happening in real time.

I think this could work well here. Players in real life don't need to worry about setting substitutions while playing, so no reason we would need to deal with subs and on-court action at the same time. This way we have peace of mind to focus on substitutions without worrying about missing out the action, yet no need to pause the game, it's all still happening in real time.

Be able to take off those generic EA shoes of players. Who cares if a player wears a shoe that's not in the game? Let me give him whatever shoe I want, it's my roster file.

A.I. improvement and a deeper dynasty mode are pretty much at the top of my list. I also wish the presentation didn't feel so robotic.

The absolute biggest must, is that EA NEEDS to update it's online rosters and rotations regularly.

If you keep injured players in rotations or not, that is a 50/50 call and people have different preferences.

But there's no excuse for a new player being added to a team, and taking 4 months to get into the game.

Or players who have been inactive the entire season have 30 minutes on teams. For example, Zach Randolph had high minutes for the Kings, and his rating was around 80, when he didn't even play and wasn't going to play the entire year.

This was enough for me to stop playing the game this year. Especially considering people like Harry Giles started getting way more minutes and the game wasn't reflecting that.

The rosters have to get fixed the ratings are pretty bad for a lot of players as are their likenesses.
Also I feels like way too animation based especially for blocks.
Their Mycareer mode is a really good base I like how you can model your guy after a player.
They also need a deeper franchise mode but I'm not gonna hold my breath for that cause EA hasn't had a good one since PS2 Madden pretty much.

Every player should have a likeness. Some players look nothing like themselves. No excuse for this at all.

                              Re: NBA Live 20 Wishlist

I feel like live made some great strides this year but there is room for a lot of improvement. Here is my wish list.

                              1. Realistic shooting and finishing tuning. Separate themselves from the competition by actually having a game replicate the amount of time a 3 will drop or a dunk on will occur. The NBA is a great product but most of the complaints now is that it is overly offensive minded, we don't need video games taking it even further with shots that just never miss if you understand how to time it.

                              2. My biggest wish, give more control, especially on drives. Let me decide what side of the basket to finish on consistently, finish away from the D, be able to step into them and initiate the contact, eurostep around, choose to do the reverse. More control in the post as well. Be better able to branch dropsteps/spins into upfakes and step throughs. Better be able to choose whether I want to shoot the hook or a fadeaway or a power layup.

                              3. Obviously for number 2 to be realized, like others have said, live needs a ton of new animations.

                              4. Make the one mode a deeper more rewarding experience. This is the most fun aspect of the game but it could not hold my attention past a month or two. The stats and ranking boards were kind of a joke. Better match making for live run and stat tracking. Be harsher on players that just play selfishly or dumb ruining the game for everyone else. Have squads and teams with a mode to really showcase good basketball. This does NOT mean going the 2k route of making it a terrible grind fest to artificially keep players engaged and suck money, just make it a rewarding experience to feel like your one of the best, or consistently getting better at the game.

This game keeps getting better every year but it is just not quite there yet. I feel like the base of the game though has much more promise moving forward than its competition and has potential to be the best sports game on the market. Here is to hoping.
