With all the player likeness/motion capture footage, and the fact that EA created a studio in Madrid and said that they would be helping with 20 I cant imagine a game not coming. 19 was fairly well received (not sales wise necessarily) so it’s not really in the same realm as the mess that was Elite.

I still truly believe that Live is planning on being released at its usual time but stuff like this does make me think that it’s possible that EA is going to try a later release date.

I wouldn't be surprised if EA went back to it's roots and just released a NBA Live playoff addition next year for the playoffs, like their earlier 1990s games were. Release it for $30 and just do a full NBA Live game for the next gen consoles next year.

Well, the writing is definitely on the wall.

Almost August and not a word about a new game plus a roster update for 19 this late = no 20 very, very likely.

Side note: I deleted 19 ages ago. Does this update include new rookies? I guess not?

I wonder at what point they can add the rookies?

I don't remember them saying anything about this being the last update so you would think something might be coming with them.

I would be really happy with this game if there was a little crisper franchise mode and the teams more resembled their NBA team play style.

Them not announcing a new partnership with the nba along with 2k is what has red flags in my eyes....if they didn’t want to announce it the same time as 2k, fine ok. But it’s been months and still nothing....
