    Chicago Bulls Thread

We got Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver, Ronnie Brewer, Keith Bogans, Brought Omer Asik back from Europe, Kurt Thomas, Brian Scalabrine, C.J. Watson, and a new Head Coach in Tom Thibodeau. Can all these offseason moves pay off for the Chicago Bulls?

I think they can. The Bulls are now the best rebounding team in the league with Gibson, Deng, Boozer, and Noah. If Thibodeau can revamp the defense, Rose can take over on offense, become elite, and help the Bulls go deep into the playoffs, and maybe eve get a ring.

    Thoughts?

    Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Boozer is only playing 31 minutes a night. Needs at least 35-38

Korver only 22MPG. He's their best shooter by % and skill

Bogans their worst shooter is starting every game over Korver.

Chicago coaching needs to step up.

Either start Brewer/Korver over Bogans or resign.

LOL resign? Really? Dude it doesn't matter who's starting or not, Bogans is starter only in title and the fact that he's out there at the beginning of the game. Brewer and Korver are both getting more minutes than him and they're out there in the crucial points of the game like starters anyway. Brewer and Korver give nice depth to the Bulls' bench so for now they're fine how they are. The Bulls just need to find a better option all together at two guard since it's their weakest position and Brewer really isn't a starter and if you combined Korver's defense with Bogans offense they'd make the worst player in NBA history.

Hopefully, some way, they can land OJ Mayo

But it's looking more and more like they are serious about JR Smith...

I've heard to acquire Smith they would give up Brewer which I would not do.

hopefully neither Mayo nor Smith, got to be stephen jackson or rip hamilton if you're serious about upgrading your team...

Mayo and Smith are both going to take bad shots that aren't in the flow of the offense and disrupt what we already have going, i am far more confident that jackson or hamilton will fit in and just play their part. i'll take smart basketball players on my team any day, lol, mayo can't even start on memphis!!!

this isn't a videogame you don't just get the talent the player has you get everything, and even though mayo has awesome talent, theres a reason he's not a good basketball player

            exactly...

And do people not understand what JR Smith is? He's a spot up shooter. A super streaky one who has the conscience of Booby Gibson.

A SG is someone that can isolate and create his own shots. One that commands double teams. JR Smith is a loose cannon, why the hell would he join the Bulls offense?

The Bulls SG needs to be a taller Derrick Rose. Plain and simple.

              Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Well, might as well bump this.

The Clippers had a win that was fortuitous for the Bulls last night. Only 1.5 back!

Im wondering what fellow Bulls fans think of Reinsdorf's comments? I didn't think they were that bad. It wasn't a prediction. There was an all important would/could/should in there.

I really hope Boozer's OK. Kwame Brown needs to be punished with something more than a fine. But based on what happened when Rondo punched Brad Miller in the face a couple of years ago, it probably won't happen. That could have been because Rondo is a Celtic and it was in the playoffs though. Oh well.

Ive noticed that Boozer has had a lot of trouble holding on to the ball lately. Anyone else notice this?

Also, Asik and Brewer have really come on strong in recent weeks too.

                Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

I thought I'd pass this on.

After the Bulls first 17 games they were 9-8, a winning % of 53%. Since their 17th game, the Bulls have won 78% (36-10) of their games.

When Erik Spoelstra spoke of it taking 20 games, that seems to be true with the Bulls. Part of it is that they had their circus road trip during that time and part of it is injuries. But it seems apparent that a new team, new coach, new system was the biggest factor since the Bulls have also had significant injuries since the 17th game when theyve been playing over .750 ball.
