Because generally, Beeston is a good people person and from what I hear it's a warzone in the boardroom of MLSE with Rogers and Bell making it hell. I hear that's one of the reasons Lieweke left as the friction in the room was too much. He really underestimated the heat between those two companies.

I did hear a good name today though: John Collins who basically is the man behind the upgrading of the NHL's TV product in the US and the expansion of the Winter Classic into the Stadium Series. He'd be a man of vision and credibility. It doesn't hurt that he doesn't have any ties to Bell or Rogers.

Beeston knows more or less nothing about sports beyond the year 2000 though. He knows jack **** about baseball, much less basketball or hockey.

Raptors signed Greg Stiemsma(C). Roster is now at 17 players so something really has to happen now. A trade or something surely must be happening. Cause now the Cs are JV,Nogueria,Hayes and Stiemsma.

Raptors new court for next season



No more 3D effect at the end of each side! Other than that, it looks much better. The Raptors court has been real plain compared to many other courts in the NBA, so nice that they changed it up abit.

Main reason I post it though.....It's yet another Raptors thing where black and silver dominates the color scheme. Really starting to think that's gonna be part of the rebranding. Black and Silver with maybe abit of Red.
