Luxury cap was never an issue for him, it was just finding guys to be on the team which is something he wasn't able to do. Doesn't matter who the GM is, if you're in a city like Toronto for NBA, it's gonna be hard to get big name USA guys to come play for your city, since NBA more than any of the 4 major sports, is about star players wanting to play for big name markets.

Re: Toronto Raptors

Anyone could lure a free agent to MIA, or LAL, even you or me lol, so why is it so important that Colangelo isn't the one to do it?

Re: Toronto Raptors

Cause things like this have happened to Toronto teams way too often(a guy on their team doesn't do that great, goes to another team, and suddenly is great)

Who gives a crap? If he lures some guy to LA, that's not him being a great GM that we let go, that's just LA being a great city.

Re: Toronto Raptors

According to reports. BC is going to represent Toronto at tomorrow nights draft lottery.....?? Why send him if he's moved on from all basketball related things?? Doesn't make any sense, prior commitment or not.

Send Coach Casey, Jonas, Ed Stefanski....

That's why I don't think BC removed from all basketball related things....like you guys claim.

How can he represent us when we have no pick?

And I think only reason he's there is cause Raptors want to be in spotlight abit that night lol, they want the guys to be talking about Raptors instead of just be like "There's ____ representing the Toronto Raptors......"

And if there was a guy to represent Raptors, I'd have chosen Ross. Might as well, he's the Raptors most recent pick AND the dunk champion.

Re: Toronto Raptors

We actually do have a pick. Depending what happens at tomorrow nights lottery, we might not have on anymore. Remember the raptors pick this year is protected from 1 to 3.

Re: Toronto Raptors

I really hope we lose it this year because it's an even better draft next year.

Still, has this been confirmed that BC is going?
