Is it really that dark??

I am very interested in getting this game, but all the videos I see seem to be very dark. Like the arenas have no lighting? Im kinda undecided about this game or CH2k8. One deal breaker for me would be atmosphere. Judging by the videos, its very hard to tell if the crowds are reactive to plays as they are in NBA 2k9. CH 2k8's crowds dont seem very dynamic and reactive either. So help me decide! LOL. By he way, I am not anti EA or 2k, as I have both of their NBA titles this year and like them both, though I give the edge to 2K

there is a brightness and contrast slider that you can adjust that makes the arenas look "normal".

NCAA does look a bit better than 2K8. The crowd is more active and the court graphics look better. I still think the lighting is a little dark though.

you can adjust the lighting, it just doesn't show up in videos because they revert back to the default setting.

Some places are, i only have the demo for now, and i was amazed when i played at kentucky, it looked as if there was no power.

noticed it was real dark my last game. Especially in the corners of the court. Looked like some lights were out.

next time your in game press start and turn up the brightness and contrast a notch or 2.

Damn. I guess EA wanted to make it as real as possible. They took into account todays bad economy and figured that all the arenas are trying to save money on their electric bills by cutting back on their lights!

this is a non issue once you boost the brightness and Contrast.

Yes it still is, it washes out the game.

It's just too dark, and there's settings, but to me, looking at how bad the game then washes out, I gave up on it and just play in the dark.

i dont know how much your turning it up. but the one notch i brought it up isnt washing out the game for me..

Are you guys talking about the 360 version, PS3, or both?

i think the PS3 version...because the 360 version is fine.

For 360 users...easy fix.

Go to Console settings - Set your HDMI settings to Expanded!

And on the HDMI colors place it on source!

Also if you want put the game on your HDD, makes a hell of a lot of difference and looks amazing.
