The last time i played an ncaa basketball game was ncaa march madness '06 for regular xbox...i thought the graphics were terrible and the crowd atmosphere and passing sucked. I was thinking of gettin college hoops 2k8 on ps2 instead of getting ncaa basketball 09 for ps2, the only system i own now...I see there are several pretty inexpensive copies available on amazon, but what I wanna know is since they have changed the title, is the game much better than march madness 06 for xbox and how so? Would you recommend this game over college hoops 2k8or 2k9 for ps2?

I would set the $ aside for a ps3 and buy the game next year.
I got my choops2k8 for my ps2 then upgraded to ps3. When I put on the game in high def.... it brought tears to my eyes. Prettiest picture ever! -

I was thinkin about doin that, Yankee.. will start setting money aside. hopefully soon they drop the price of the damn ps3 or ill be gettin a 360.

yeah, I doubt it. That is good enough. Hell, the $199 xbox360, you can only save maybe 5 games on it then it fills up so it would be better to get the $299 360 instead, or a PS3

dude forget that 360 elite, the ps3 slim is the way to go. the online is free and it has wifi built in so u dont have to worry about an ethernet cord or a wireless adapter. not to mention it looks cooler and doesnt make a loud noise i can hear outside my room with the door shutComment

Wow..loud noise?? Thats one thing I hated about the old xbox. Every time I played ncaa 07 on there it always made this loud scratching noise.

yeah its not as bad for some games but if a game is scratched any more than a little bit the fan spins really fast...this happens with my ncaa 10 for the 360 too even though ive been real careful with it and it has zero scratches after playing it for bout a month now... you get used to the sound with games that arent scratched but you will notice it with some games...especially if your playin on that slim ps2 that makes almost no noise whatsoever. in short, ps3 may be the way to go and from what ive read on here theres been a lot less freezing on ncaa 10 for ps3 than 360Comment
