Best NCAA game?

I've been looking for a really good NCAA basketball game, I tried 07 for the 360, and I lost interest after about 2 weeks. Which are the best ones? I'm even willing to try some on the old-gen. (Xbox)

College Hoops 2k8 on either PS3 or 360, by far and away.

There's a reason we still have an active forum to discuss the game and series.

2k8 is a good game but feels a little bit too outdated for me. I owned both last year and sold off 2k8. Go with NCAA 10. Best graphics and presentation out there. I also find the controls to be a lot more convenient than 2k8.

Gameplay wise, 2k8 BY FAR. Legacy mode is incredibly deep and I bought the game a couple years ago for $4 and still play it every year college basketball season rolls around

2k8 is a good game but feels a little bit too outdated for me. I owned both last year and sold off 2k8. Go with NCAA 10. Best graphics and presentation out there. I also find the controls to be a lot more convenient than 2k8.

I'm not huge into presentation in all honesty, as long as it can keep my interest for more than a month. The graphics aren't huge for me either as I was playing 07, and I was fine with it. I'll have to try it too.

I have mentioned this before -- if you're on PS3, I would go with NCAA 10. If you're on Xbox, I would probably go with CH 2k8.

The 360. NCAA is tough to find really cheap unless you run across it on eBay. Gamestop prices the game pretty high. You can find updated rosters and rosters with the players named on the court. It don't come that way out of the box.

I really doubt you're going to find anything on the old-gen that will keep your interest. 2K8 and NCAA 10 are not perfect, but they are far beyond anythign else -- it's not like Madden where there is a past-generation game that people still think was the best (e.g., NFL 2K5 or Madden 05).

Also, I found NCAA 10 much more enjoyable once I adjusted the sliders.

Unless I am mistaken the game out of the box only has the player numbers and not names listed on the court when you are playing a game. Some of the rosters made by some of the members here show the names on the court.

^ This. 2k8 was a great game, but playing it now it feels very dated and arcadish...if you're used to playing current gen NBA games like 2k13, the control scheme in NCAA 10 is almost exactly the same, and plays very similar, plus the graphics and presentation make 2k8 look even more outdated.

I vote NCAA Basketball 10 by a landslide. It's got quirks, but it's overall good ball and rewarding over the long haul.

On the court, I prefer NCAA Basketball 10. Off the court, CH2K8 is much better.
