To answer the question: Yes, you can use it to get rosters on your ps2. Basically it's a USB flash drive that comes with 2 CD's. One CD installs it on your PC and the other is for your ps2. You DL the rosters from here or another roster site, use their software to transfer it onto the flash drive. Then take the flash drive to your ps2 and use the CD they provide to transfer the data on the flash drive over to your memory card.

I just got mine yesterday and it worked flawlessly. I have a newer PC, which the X-Port did not work with, but this device did work. Any more questions, let me know.

This may not be 100% correct as I'm at work

Transferring Rosters with the AR Max EVO:

1. Install "PC Disk" on your PC.
2. Insert USB drive in your PC.
3. Launch the Software you installled.
4. Transfer the .max roster file to your USB Drive. I think I had to drag and drop the file from Windows Explorer onto the AR window to get this to work.
5. Take the USB drive to your PS2 and insert the PS2 disc.
6. Enter the memory manager and select the USB drive as your primary device.
7. Uncrush the save file to your memory card.
8. Insert game and enjoy

Like I said, this might not be perfect but should be enough to get it working.
