is there a way to get the rosters without the transfer kit? Xbox live roster sharing or something?

no roster share through xbox live until NCAA '09.

for 360 you either have to use the transfer kit, Xsata/Xport, or connect the 360 Hard drive directly to your PC(voids the Hard drive warranty and not worth the trouble unless you know what your doing)
