With Tebow going to Madden as a 96...

Can someone do a draft class only roster, like, lowering all the top player's by 20 attribute points so we can get 70 rated rookies and what not? It'd be amazing.

Madden somewhat randomly generates ratings for the NCAA draft classes. Also, most rookies (mid-level to top-tier), now days, should not all be rated in the 70's. Long gone are the days when these types of players are that far away from where the top players in the NFL are. Look at the top players (top 10-15 at each position) in the NFL. Depending on the position, a large majority of them are anywhere from 2nd to 5th year players.

Exactly, 2nd to 5th year players, not rookies though. There is no way, especially a quarterback, a rookie should be anywhere near a 96.

The process to change all the stats would be backbreaking...since you would have to alter pretty much everyone's stats each year as new recruits are added to rosters, additionally making sure that "good" players stats don't fall below scrubs stats. What SHOULD happen, is that rookies in Madden have NO rating. They have physical skills, yes, but no rating until mid-year at best if starters, the following year ideally. The rating could fluctuate based on the AWR skill. That'd solve a lot of problems.

but in Madden attributes will only go up a few points over the coarse of a career so in year ten you'll have a bunch of 70-80 ovr players

Re: With Tebow going to Madden as a 96...

Um... Ben Roethlesberger (sp?) is a rookie Super Bowl winning QB, AP or AD better known as Adrian Peterson last season... Marshawn Lynch, Troy Polamula (sp?), Keyshawn Johnson, Orlando Pace, I must say there are tons of rookies that come in and take the league by storm in some way shape or form... Devin Hester, Jonathan Vilma and the list goes on... even the likes of Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart have shown that they deserve their NCAA to Madden rating at some point or another and a 7th rounder like Colston even shows that rookies can come into the league and produce their rookie year... besides once the top teir rookies from NCAA to Madden are drafted there is a bit of a drop off believe me when I tell ya cause I've seen some imported classes where it wasn't even worth keeping your drafted players after a few seasons

oh yeah and then there are guys named Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald, Braylon Edwards, Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams that aren't too shabby either... and yes WR is my favorite position... and to be a homer I'll throw my boys David Harris and Derrelle Revis in the rookie impact conversation

Only in a video game because Tim Tebow will not be an NFL QB, not a successful one at least. Name a QB out of University of Florida that has been.

Ben won it his 2nd year. His rookie year was the year he went undefeated in the regular season which still helps make your point. Just clearing up the Superbowl year.
