How do we handle Multi-Position Players

Such as Sergio Kindle of Texas? He'll be playing both DE and LB this season. This is becoming more common and I think EA will need to address this come next year. Any ideas for this years game though?

You just have to switch around their positions on the depth chart.
    NBA: Denver Nuggets/Phoenix Suns
    NFL: Cincinnati Bengals/Arizona Cardinals
    NCAA: Miami Hurricanes
Austin University Roadrunners (NCAA 10 Dynasty)

If they'd just put in the situational substitutions, that would be addressed. It's back in Madden, but not in NCAA yet.

put him as a outside lb , then when you want him at de , in the play call screen hit the r stick on ps3 or the 360 stick until you get lb rush

hybrid type players should have their other position where they barely take a ratings hit if at all to their awareness. south carolina has a player who was a freshman all american de, soph he was listed at de the whole year but played a healthy amount of olb and led the sec in tackles for loss, last year he led the sec in sacks per game as an olb in the 4-2 and 3-3, and as a de in pass rush situations. what i did with him last year is started him at olb, but had him as a 2nd string de so i could sub him in there if it was an obvious passing situation.

i expect madden at some point if they havent already to do something about this so players who are hybrids or have experience at other positions dont take as much of an awareness as a player who switches positions cold turkey. id be surprised if ncaa did something like this but maybe they can tie it in to the pass rush skills and so on for other positions like a safety who can tackle transitioning to olb.

EA should add a "Versatility" rating. Positional changes for players with a high "Versatility" rating should come with a small to no hit at all for position changes. That way players like Kindle can be moved back and forth with little to no change in awareness. This should be used in conjunction with the situational changes.

ThisSo much for getting Madden's left overs this year. I was really bummed it didn't get added into NCAA this year.

EA could add secondary positions, like they do for NBA and MLB games.

back on the ps2/xbox there was a depth chart as well as a formation subs. i would could change who lined up for every individual formation. packages are like the dumbed down version of this feature. when i played, i could change my kick off team to all of the fastest available guys and kr would be the better blockers out of the guys available. also on defense i had speed formations and then strength so when i wanted my big boys in i would pick a 3-4 over and for my faster guys i would pick 3-4 under and for the best players at every position i would just put 3-4 normal.

i agree that there should be some versatility rating for players of similar positions but then again they can have playbook specific positions so you will get your h-backs and situational rushers as needed
