This is a nice thread but I want to info check..... I'm almost certain the #44 isn't retired at Syracuse. Jim Brown, Ernie Davis, and Floyd Little's jersey's are retired. Syracuse gives a running back #44 if they are worthy of it and they just haven't had one in a while LOL.

I remember in NCAA 08 (Last time I played with Ole Miss) and you couldn't even give #18 to a player. That was a cool feature, I hope its still in.

It was retired in 2005, they had a big half-time ceremony against South Florida, had most of the players that wore the number there, last person to wear it was Rod Konrad

That was a great read. Yea, Konrad was the last I remembered wearing it. Did make since to retire it like Jim Brown said, "Hard to pick someone prematurely to fill #44s shoes."
