Schumach's and Tcoaker's 1995 NCAA Roster Set

1995 Alabama Crimson Tide
The 95 rendition of the Crimson Tide did as most Gene Stallings teams did. Excelled on defense and struggled on offense. This may have been the second worse team in Stallings tenure, right behind his first seasons 1990 team.

Offense:
Brian Burgdorff (75) started the season at quarterback. Most thought he was better than Jay Barker. Three quarters through the season, Freddie Kitchens (75) took the reigns and had an impressive showing in the Iron Bowl. Toderick Malone (86) is "the" playmaker on offense. Dennis Riddle (85) is a dependable back. The offense line's pass blocking skills are shoddy. See what you can do.

Defense:
Led by undersized over-achieving nose tackle Shannon Brown (93) and ball hawking safety Kevin Jackson, (91) along with a budding linebacker Dwayne Rudd (86) this defense can make plays all over the place.

Impact Players:
WR Toderick Malone
DT Shannon Brown
SS Kevin Jackson

1995 Auburn Tigers

95 was the year of the offense on the Plains. Willie Anderson (95) led the way for Stephen Davis (91) to pummel opposing defenses. Pat Nix (86) may never find himself in the conversation for the greatest QB on the Plains but he was a damn good one, more than serviceable. He had a couple of good receivers in Willie Gosha (85) and Tyrone Goodson (83).

The Tigers struggled mightily on defense. But they had some good young players. Takeo Spikes (85) leads the way on D. The linebackers were great, d-line, so-so, but the secondary was pretty bad.
Impact Players:
TB Stephen Davis
LB Takeo Spikes
QB Pat Nix

1995 LSU Tigers

By 1995, Death Valley had become the "Valley of the Dead." Curly Hallman was run out of town but the the cupboard was not bare for Gerry DiNardo. Add in a could of great recruits: Kevin Faulk and Anthony McFarland and he put together a pretty good team.

Offense:
Jamie Howard (80) finished his much-maligned career with a bit of a bang. Shadrick Wilson (85), Eddie Kennison (80) proved to be valuable targets. Kendal Cleveland (83) and Kevin Faulk (85) shared the ball a lot. The offensive line was pretty good was well.

Defense:
The Tigers gave up a lot of yards buy used the bend don't break strategy to a T. Tory James (88) leads the secondary and Gabe Northern anchors a pretty good d-line along with Chuck Wiley and Anthony McFarland. (McFarland also played fullback in goalline or short yardage situations)

Impact Players:
WR Eddie Kennison
DE Gabe Northern
DB Tory James

1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers

Following the success of the 1994 season, in which Tommie Frazier and Brook Berringer led the team to Tom Osborne's first national championship, the 1995 version improved in every facet. With the powerful rushing offense and a dominating defense, Nebraska captured its second consecutive national title. The 1995-1996 season set up a record-breaking three championships in four years, as the 1994 and 1995 seasons were followed by Tom Osborne's third title in 1997. Due to their performance against Florida as well as beating 4 teams that finished in the top 10 by an average score of 49-18, their consistent dominance (smallest margin of victory was 14 points), their record setting offensive performance, and their statistically impressive defense throughout the season, the 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers are widely considered one of the greatest teams in college football history.

Offense:
Tommie Frazier recovered from his injury-plagued '94 Season to lead the greatest option offense ever known. Lawrence Phillips entered the year as top Heisman candidate but ran into trouble with the law and missed near half of the year, before returning in the bowl game to put his final marks on his college career. In his place Ahman Green proved he was more than capable of taking over finishing as Big 8 Freshman of the year and Honorable Mention All American. The team set Division 1-A records by averaging 7.0 yards per rushing attempt and also by allowing zero quarterback sacks on the season. Noted for its strong special teams play, the team also connected on 13 of 16 field goal attempts, and it also tied an NCAA record by allowing only five punt returns (for a total of 12 yards) all season. The 1995 Huskers also averaged a victory margin of more than 38 points, the largest of any Division 1-A team since World War II, despite regularly resting their starters in the second halves of games. Averaging more than 53 points per game (including the bowl win), the team averaged 29.8 points per first half - a higher number than the per-game scoring average of many national champions, even including such modern champions as the 2006 Florida Gators, the 2002 Ohio State Buckeyes, and the 1992 Alabama Crimson Tide.

Defense:
The defense was led by AA DE Jared Tomich and 2nd Team AA Terrell Farley. However 95 was the coming out season for many future All-Americans and All-Conference players such as DE Grant Wistrom, Jason Peter, Mike Minter, and Jay Foreman. The Blackshirts only allowed 12.1 points per game and averaged less the 5 point per quarter all season.

Impact Players:
QB Tommie Frazier
HB Lawrence Phillips
DE Jared Tomich

That defense aldo had Deshea Townsend (DB) who was one of the best in cfb. He had a long career as a starter for the Steelers in the NFL. Fernando Bryant (DB) was also a highly regarded member of that defense though his NFL career was never lived up to his college career. The offense had Patrick Hape (FB/TE) who was solid particulary at FB. Patrick played 9 years in the NFL for the Bucs and the Broncos. Curtis Brown (WR) was another playmaker for the offense. Curtis is currently 7th & 8th in all time career catches and recieving yards at Bama.

Tommycoa has all of them in his roster for Bama. I am currently transfering his file over to mine as there was a mixup between us, but will have it all combined by the weekend.
