Re: How to fix unrealistic in game injury distribution

Plugged these in and had my LOLB tear a abdominal muscle and is now out for 5 weeks in game 1 of my dynasty. As much as that sucks for my team I was glad to actually see someone other than my QB or HB get hurt.

I also had various guys (OL, DB, and HB), step off the field for a few plays because they got nicked up.

These ratings are a tremendous addition to my dynasty and I recommend any and all to use them in theirs.

Now if we could just fix fumbles....

I reduced this to 30-50 and wallah I had 2 offensive linemen get injured in a game (both returned). I am going to make the following changes to my roster:

1) OL: Reduce injury to 30-40
2) DL: Reduce injury to 30-40
3) LB/Safety: Reduce injury to 50
4) CB: Reduce injury to 60
5) WR: Reduce injury to 65
6) TE: Reduce injury to 70
7) FB/HB/QB: Keep injury rating the same

Appreciate input from anyone else who tries this or can tell me what this does to the simulation engine for CPU schools. Also if anyone has any suggestions on how often positions get injured I would be interested as my values above are just made up.
So are you changing all your players injury ratings or the entire game?

Unless they come up with an editor it is only for my players.

Oraeon Have you seen more injuries for yourself as compared to the CPU. I love the idea but I don't want mine dropping like fly's. I feel good w/ where my subs come in/out but that will have to change if this gets out of hand

*** THIS CHANGES YOUR PLAYERS OVERALL RATING***

I used these settings for an entire season and saw one (edited) ROLB go down in week 2 for the season with a broken wrist...

Week 4 and unedited HB also broke his wrist and was out for the year...

Had a couple DBs and WRs miss one game...

Had a few guys per game miss anywhere from a series to a quarter to the rest of the game...

All in all...

Human INJ still a bit low, but now consistent with the rate / severity of the simmed games for the rest of the NCAA (also low)...

Conclusion:

These edits are "best case" IMHO...

The overall doesn't matter with these since it's just injury. The players don't play any worse in game skill-wise.

You'll have guys get hurt for a series or two sometimes, but they will return.

I'm playing 9 min quarters and am 3 games into my dynasty and I have 3 guys who are out for my next week. My starters at MLB and SS, and my 4th string CB.

I think it's pretty realistic to be honest. Even if you lose some players for a series or two it helps get guys in the game since the auto-subs don't seem to work really well.

Another realism aspect is since my CB is out (2 weeks) I had to pull a red-shirt off one of my CB's for depth. That situation never happened with INJ ratings left alone.

Something else that was cool that my backup SS who started because of injury had 3 INT's and tied the school record in his 1st start. Something else that never happened since QB's and RB's are the only people that get hurt for you with INJ ratings left alone.

In short, it's a great edit to do. Again, don't worry about the overalls because they still play well. You won't see a ton of injuries in game but you'll see a smattering of guys come out for a bit.

Re: How to fix unrealistic in game injury distribution

is anyone interested in doing this edit for all 120 teams. I am strongly debating it on the ps3 rosters.

I think for the realism factor, the pros far out weigh the cons
