Re: Playmakers NCAA 13 Historic Team(s) Poll

The duplicate numbers make it tough. Probably would go with Brady over Collins for 10, When I created this team i had to create Tim Biakabutuka so he and Desmond could share 21. Biakabutuka will always be a legend in Mich-OSU lore because of his 300 yard game, and would be a popular choice as the starter over A-Train or Powers. JMO of course.

If 13 gave us duplicate numbers these would be flawless, My guess is next gen for that little feature.

I DL'd your 2011 all time roster.... pretty sweet man. Played Tennessee v.s. Florida and enjoyed it a lot. Manning to Peerless Price all day. Travis Henry and Jamal Lewis are tough.

Always loved Biakabutuka. Wasn't Tim short for something crazy? Brady is one of those players that would be tough on this roster. No doubt in the NFL he lit it up but in college, he was kind of meh. He's one of the few players I can think of like that. Him and Terrell Davis. I seem to remember him splitting him with Drew Henson.

yep his full name was....

Tim Biakabutuka isn't really Tim Biakabutuka. Born in Kinshasa, Zaire, his full name is Tshimanga Biakabutuka (pronounced Tuh-MONG-ah Bee-OCK-ah-buh-too-kuh). His last name translates to "born again," which would turn out to be a reflection of his religious faith and resilient nature.

Re: Playmakers NCAA 13 Historic Team(s) Poll

Well bummer I was hoping that you'd do a best of historic teams as the poll results suggested. Ah well, I'm sure this one will be okay too, but if you're doing this sorta roster mize as well go all the way with it and use all time like you usually do. It'd be much more interesting that way then just the 90's players. Just my humble opinion...

The Alumni rosters were great in NCAA 11....

I just wanted to switch it up a bit and the 90's rosters file actually will be done in a way where you can get all players who played the same decade back at their respective schools.

To do the file based on a certain year would not only be difficult to pull off for 80+ teams but it also means your leaving some great talent off the roster file and once you get through a single season for most of those schools say for example the 91 Washington Huskies i think the lasting appeal goes away.

However if you load a roster file that allows you to play with not only the key players on that 91 Huskies team (Mario Bailey, Steve Emtman and Lincoln Kennedy) but also with guys right afterwards like Napoleon Kaufman, Cory Dillon, Lawyer Milloy and Ernie Conwell who made of the recruiting classes after the key members of the 91 team left school then it adds more replay value to the roster file and game IMO.

If had a gone the route per say i create the 1971 Nebraska Team every guy on that team would have been listed as a Sr on my file.

Some of their top players would have been able to match up physically on the field depending on the position but they would probably stand no chance in hell of surviving on their OL and DL with the way i rate players......

I simply refuse to give a guy great strength on the OL if he played in the 60's, 70's or 80's era of football.

Where as on the Alumni File I could get away with a few guys not having the strength up front because they were usually surrounded by some of the great OL at that school who played in the 90's and later.

Also, EA's Uniforms and Gear in the game today just seems more appropriate on the 90's players.....

I don't like to use the Revo Helmets that much anyway but it would look ridiculous seeing a guy like Terry Bradshaw or Curt Warner in that type of helmet.

Some of the offenses and the way EA assigns the playbooks are also better suited for this roster file and of course I'll assign Option Teams that playbook and heavy run oriented teams the Run Balanced Playbook but it's easier for me get most of the schools to play with a realistic playbook now that I've reduced the file down to the 90's only.

Chances are you won't see guys any more old school QB's running some spread Offense which was beyond my controll in years past unless i controlled the team(s) myself.

So even though the Polls did dictate that specific year teams like 95 Nebraska was most coveted on this site.....for me it just makes more sense that instead of assigning just a specific year in the 90's for each program I could expand it to a all decade teams of the 90's instead to add longevity to the file.

Re: Playmakers NCAA 13 Historic Team(s) Poll

Doesn't mean anything right now but this will be huge for next years game...

College football will finally have a playoff. Come 2014, the BCS is dead
http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefoot...-season-062612

What this means is that we can actually create the greatest teams of all time in NCAA 14 and then finally have a playoff system to determine the outcomes.

So it looks like NCAA 14 which should have the new Infinity engine next year plus a college playoff system included might just be the best NCAA game in years.

Not to dismiss NCAA 13.....but those two things alone will probably make us forget all other NCAA games to date next year LOL!
